Mid-Highs Faith Formation

Our Mid-highs (grades 6-8)meet in the Youth Room for their Faith Formation program, GRAPPLE, a curriculum that brings relevant day-to-day issues for preteens to the forefront for discussion and scripture support. They meet with Tom Leatherman, Chelsea Matthews, and Mark Hogan. They will begin discussing various aspects of Forgiveness during February-April.

A Reminder to all Mid-Highs: Please remember to bring your Bibles each Sunday!

 

High School Faith Formation

High School Youth will meet with Sarah and Mike for Faith Formation Youth Group on Sunday, April 21st from 10:15-11 am in the LCC Library. E-mail in your dougnut flavor request! ALL Youth/Parents are reminded to check their emails and bulletin boards for calendar updates.

 

LCC Youth Musical "We AreOne"

Mark your calendars for the Youth Musical performances on Saturday, April 20 at 7 pm and Sunday, April 21 at 12:30 pm. The show on Sunday will be proceed by at complimentary lunch at 11:30 for congregation members. Tickets will be available starting on Easter Sunday. There is no charge for the performance. Free will donations accepted during the performances.

The musical, "We Are One" is written by Julie Warren and directed by Karen Lee. Music direction by Darryl Lewis. Come and enjoy songs from the Beatles, Michael Jackson, Lady Gaga, Fun, Queen, Barry Manilow and much more!

Practice for the 2013 Youth Musical production is held in the Social Hall from 4-6 pm most Sundays.   If you like to sing, act and fellowship with a fun-loving group, you won't want to miss this. All are welcome to participate. If you have any questions, please contact Karen Lee or Julie Warren.

Mid and Senior High Youth Group

Sarah and Mike Banyasz are the Youth Group leaders for our Youth-grades 6-12. The LCC Youth Group  meets on Sunday, April 7th from 6:00 - 8:00 pm in the Youth Room.  Pizza provided.  All are welcome.

2013 YOUTH MISSION TRIP

Seven 8th-12th graders-David and Maggie Kemp, Cate Schleckman, Paula Atfield, Evan Suttell, Owen Smith, and Ryan Mitchell and two parent chaperones - Scott Suttell and Lisa Smith will be going to Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania June 16th-22nd to participate in the Pittsburgh Project, a Mission Trip in which the children will not only help fix up homes for needy people, but learn how to use the tools and do the work, problem-solve for other urban areas around the U.S., and worship with teens from around the country realizing the common premise for their work. Future fundraisers will be announced.

 

 


 

 

Youth Outreach and Help for Community Meal

Pantry bags are filled by the Mid-Highs the last Sunday of each month in the Social Hall at 9:30 a.m. These bags, filled with groceries, are given out to our guests at Community Meal, served the first Wednesday of each month. Look for e-mails to confirm dates and times from Kate Dailey.

 

ELIZA JENNINGS NURSING HOME

Several Youth (grades 6-12) will worship at Eliza Jennings Nursing Home on April 14th. A special thanks to Nicky Wills, Laura Rickard and Kate Dailey for helping with this outreach.

 

Faith Formation and Nursery

As always, we hope that our Senior-highs will help with the Faith Formation groups and Nursery, or enjoy worship  in the Sanctuary each Sunday.  Lindsay Roberts and Lee Mechenbier have been participating regularly in these areas.  Thank You!
