Chancel Choir
The choir, accompanied by a brass quartet, presented music on Easter Day. Members of the congregation joined the choir for the Hallelujah Chorus. The choir is planning a music Sunday in May featuring the LCC youth and adult choirs and the Handbell choir. This service will present a series of anthems, incluidng a combined anthem with children and various instruments accompanying the voices.
Handbell Choir:
The Handbell Choir performed the preludes for Palm Sunday. They will be playing in late April and on Music Sunday in May. Their loyalty and continued hard work has allowed the choir to perform many times this year.
Festival Arts
The Festival Arts Series presented the Brass Quartet on Easter Sunday and will help fund the Music Sunday in May. Thanks to the hard work of the music committee and volunteers from the church, the talent show was a smashing success, with over $3800 realized from the silent auction alone! The food was delicious, the talent amazing and the support of the church in this endeavor was absolutely outstanding. Thanks to all who made the entire evening possible. We are blessed at this church to have this level of interest in music and its part in making worship even more meaningful.
