A wedding in our church is an act of worship.  At Lakewood Congregational Church, we believe that marriage is a bold and courageous covenant before God, our families and friends, and the wider world.  In the marriage ceremony, two people commit themselves to a relationship that is unlike any other.

While you may have come to Lakewood Congregational Church in search of a "Church wedding", we offer you much more.  There's a difference between a ceremony in a church and a wedding that is distinctly spiritual.  In addition to being a carefully planned and beautiful celebration, weddings at LCC express our conviction that marriage is designed by a loving God for two people.

Marriage reflects the character of God's loving commitment to us, as we are challenged to enter joyfully into a covenant unique from all other human relationships in its depth, intimacy, and possibilities for growth.
