What A Success!
At LCC we contributed over 300 hours to help care for and beautify our planet along with buying $30 worth of Global Trees for East Jerusalem, Nicaragua, Kenya and Peru. Bonnie Harbaugh added energy-efficient light bulbs to our lamps inthe Parlor, and the grounds of LCC look gorgeous! Thank you to everyone who contributed. A special Thank You to Sean Swatsky and Kate Dailey for taking the lead on the West Clifton project.
As of this writing our UCC goals were not met. Let's keep trying! So far we have:
- Collectively provide 487,220 hours of energy-saving work/tasks
- Collectively planted more than 91,000 trees locally and globally in partnership with the National Arbor Day Foundation and the UCC's denominational partners around the world.
- Collectively write and send more than 42,300 letters on environmental concerns to elected officials and local and national news outlets.
Please visit the UCC website information on Mission Earth at http://www.ucc.org/earth/about.html for more information on this project and to learn how you can be a good steward of God's beautiful creation. |

Visioning Team |
|
|
|
LCC's Visioning Team has begun meeting with a goal of creating a long-term plan to present to the congregation. Part of this plan will include use of the LCC grounds. We extend and invitation to anyone that is interested in brainstorming ways that the grounds and outside areas of the church facility can be used including what upgrades might be needed and ways the grounds can be used to demonstrate LCC's mission. If you are interested in working on a exterior grounds plan, please contact Vicki Smigelski or Dave Mechenbier one of the Visioning Team members.
This spring the Visioning Team is in the process of meeting with the Outreach, Facilities and Creative Arts teams. All LCC members are encouraged to participate in the process by providing your ideas to the LCC Visioning Team either by joining one of these committees, or contributing your ideas to one of the Vision Team members.
The Visioning Team members are Judy Foote, John Hancock, Mark Hogan, Michael Komperda, Dave Mechenbier, Jennifer Schwelik, Vicki Smigelski, Lisa Smith and Mark Thomas.
